The important in providing conditions for labor protection is to create working environments and conditions favourable for protection of the working people’s life and health and fully provide labor safety devices and labor hygiene facilities.
The DPRK provides and maintains labor safety devices so as to ensure their normal operation.
Labor safety facilities such as safety devices, protection and signal devices to prevent accidents are fully provided, and workers are not allowed to work in places without labor safety devices. Normal operation of labor safety devices is maintained and the labor safety facilities are not allowed to be disassembled without permission of supervisory control organs concerned.
Measures are taken to prevent damage from high temperature, gas, dust, noise, vibration, humidity, radiation and bacteria and provide lighting, illumination, ventilation and heating in accordance with hygienic requirements. Public service amenities including lodging house, restaurant, bathroom, barbers’ shop, resting room as well as nursery and kindergarten are built and run regularly.
Hospitals or clinics are rationally distributed in institutions, enterprises and groups, and medical checkup and preventive medical care are given in a responsible manner and those who are unable to work in their occupation due to vocational diseases are distributed to the one suitable for them.
Production buildings and structures are provided fully with conditions for labor safety and labor hygiene when they designed and erected and are rationally distributed by taking into account of the effects of noxious substance upon their neighbouring areas.
Labor safety devices and labor hygiene conditions can be in use only when they are measured and monitored regularly and pass the measuring and monitoring test.
