A woman made a speech with emotion on the rostrum of the First National Meeting of Mothers held in November 1961 under the presence of President Kim Il Sung.

She was the one who raised nine orphans.

She was subjected to be a farm servant for a landlord in the days when the Korean people were deprived of their country, but she led a happy life to her heart’s content in the country liberated by Kim Il Sung. That was why she worked hard and brought up nine orphans into reliable pillars of the country to repay it.

Listening to her speech, Kim Il Sung clapped his hands twice, and furthermore, extended gratitude to her by saying that she is an example of the women who acquired the communist idea and morality deep in their minds.

After the meeting, the woman, keeping in her mind Kim Il Sung’s saying that it is necessary to take an active participation in the socialist construction in order to become a communist mother, did her best to raise them better while doing her job with responsibility.

The DPRK awarded the title of Labor Heroine on her to highly appreciate her services.
