President Kim Il Sung Created Juche-oriented Idea of Education in the Period of Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Struggle

    President Kim Il Sung initiated the Juche-oriented idea of education in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and organized and led the educational work to apply the idea in education and thus gained valuable experience and established the revolutionary tradition of the Juche-oriented education, the historic root of socialist education.

    President Kim Il Sung said.

    “In those days, we set out a revolutionary education policy based on the Juche idea and, in pursuance of this, used unique methods in conducting educational work. In the course of this, we gained valuable experience in training revolutionaries and established our Party’s glorious traditions of revolutionary education.”

    Thanks to the President who clarified the aim of the Juche-oriented education and the principle of revolutionary pedagogy whose main is the education in knowledge, morality and strong physique, correct guide was provided to organize and realize the work of training revolutionary talents with a clear goal and in line with scientific truth.

    The President put forward unique ideas and theories in composing the contents of revolutionary education and establishing new methods of education such as the issues of applying different heuristic methods of teaching and education, intensifying the revolutionary organizational life and mass political activities and combining education with productive and military activities.

    The President also clarified several issues arising in training the revolutionary talents and building the revolutionary education such as establishing the revolutionary and popular education system whose main is the compulsory free education, making guidance over education and laying mass foundation.

    The Juche-oriented idea of education created by the President in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle is, indeed, the great idea that developed the education idea of humankind onto a new high stage. It was an important factor that enabled to achieve brilliant success in the education in the period of the anti-Japanese revolution. It serves as an ideological and theoretical treasure that enables the Juche-oriented education to develop ceaselessly in the DPRK.
