Preparatory committees for celebrations were formed with due ceremonies in Russia, Switzerland, Egypt, Sweden, Thailand, Finland, Serbia, South Africa, UK, Denmark, Mongolia, the DR Congo, Norway and Mexico to mark the 77^th founding anniversary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and in Brazil, Poland and Mongolia to mark the 80^th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Present at the ceremonies were figures from the political, academic and press circles and the members of the associations of friendship with the DPRK and the Juche idea study organizations in relevant countries.

The committees set the periods of celebrations on the occasion of the 77^th founding anniversary of the DPRK and the 80^th founding anniversary of the WPK and decided to hold colourful political and cultural events to praise the greatness and immortal revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and introduce and give publicity to the amazing successes being made by the DPRK people in the efforts to build a powerful socialist country and safeguard sovereignty of the country in the periods.
