    Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site is in Samjiyon County in Ryangang Province, the DPRK.

    In the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site, there is the Samjiyon Grand Monument unveiled on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of victory in the battle in Musan area in May, 1979.

    The Samjiyon Grand Monument provides fine ideological and artistic depiction to historic contents that President Kim Il Sung led the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army to advance into the homeland in May 1939 dealing an annihilating blow to the Japanese imperialists and giving confidence in victory to the Korean people.

    It consists of the President’s statue erected on the center of the longitudinal axis of the broad education field by the pond with Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of the Korean revolution, and Lake Samji as backgrounds, the signal tower, the subsidiary group sculptures Motherland, Admiration, Camping and Water in Homeland and the subsidiary sculpture Advance with the large granite sculpture A Bugler of Charge as a background.

    In the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site, there are also the Samjiyon Revolutionary Museum, the monument to revolutionary relics, the place where the President educated the guerrillas in patriotism while taking a short rest by the Lake Samji, the place where a party for picketing the Hyesan and Musan directions was deployed and the Kapsan-Musan guard road.

    The lodging houses for working people, students and the Children’s Union, a cultural hall for study tourists and the Samjiyon School Children’s Palace are built wonderfully in the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site.
