True to the decisions made at the 7^th Plenary Meeting of the 8^th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and scientists in the farm machinery research institute of the Agricultural Commission concentrate efforts on developing and introducing effective and efficient farm machines urgently needed in putting agricultural production on a modern and advanced basis.

With awareness that they are responsible for the first process of producing and introducing farm machines, they mass-produce farm machines including efficient small-sized rice harvester, wheat and barley sowing machine, mobile combine thresher, etc. in contact with relevant units. While solving technical problems in producing farm machines at factories, the scientists devote their wisdom and zeal to producing more farm machines of various kinds which are urgently needed in farming and easy to use for farmers. Those in the institute have finished designing multi-purpose farm machines of dozens of kinds and they are now in brisk to produce them.
