    Jonsung Revolutionary Site is the place in which President Kim Il Sung stayed from January 1951 to December 1953 to organize and led the war to victory.

    It is located on a low hill at the northern foot of Moran Hill.

    The region was called Ryonghung-dong, Pyongyang Municipality in the war period, but renamed as Jonsung-dong, Moranbong District, Pyongyang City after the war.

    Stayed in the region during the war were the Cabinet and the Military Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

    Staying here, the President made out and presented the outstanding strategic and tactical plans for victory in the war and led the affairs for strengthening the Party and the people’s power and stabilizing the people’s living.

    In July 1953, the President examined and ratified the armistice agreement document.

    The Jonsung Revolutionary Site is divided into the open-air historic site and a tunnel associated with the revolutionary history of the President.

    The open-air historic site covers the President’s office, the house where he examined and ratified the armistice agreement document, Military Commission office and a dining room.

    The tunnel has the President’s office, meeting room, special infirmary and a clinic, dining room and several offices of the Cabinet of the Republic.

    The Jonsung Revolutionary Site also has the Jonsung Revolutionary Museum and a monument to the revolutionary history of the President entitled Immortal Trace Adorned with History of Victory in the War!

    The Jonsung Revolutionary Site which was inaugurated on April 15, 1970 houses the records and materials showing immortal revolutionary activities of the President who led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory while staying at Jonsung-dong.

    The monument to the revolutionary history of the President was erected on April 15, 1980 to convey for ever to posterities the President’s immortal revolutionary exploits associated with the Jonsung Revolutionary Site and the benevolence shown by him to the service personnel and people.

    Today the Jonsung Revolutionary Site tells immortal revolutionary exploits of the President who led the grim Fatherland Liberation War to victory.
