One February in 1956 President Kim Il Sung gave field guidance to a mine in South Phyongan Province.
The country was hard pressed for everything as it was in the postwar period of rehabilitation and thus a nursery in the mine failed to be refurbished.
Acquainting himself with such situation, Kim Il Sung urged that the nursery should be refurbished before offices. He saw that the officials of the mine vacated their offices for the children and the nursery was newly built in the future.
Hence, the offices were turned into nursery at that time and a nursery was newly built in a sunny place in a little while.
