In October 2019 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave a field guidance to a farm. He expressed satisfaction over the breeding of a new strain of rice, saying in pleasure that the officials and working people in the farm are waiting for him with interesting scientific and technological achievement in farming whenever he comes every year.

Noting that all the people must have a proper viewpoint that they will carry out the entrusted tasks on the strength of science and technology in the era of science and technology, the era of knowledge-based economy, he clearly indicated that it is the viewpoint in the era of knowledge-based economy to carry out one’s own task by one’s own efforts, holding fast to science and technology.

He stressed that it is important to establish it as social customs to give priority to science by setting up to the full the viewpoint and work attitude of braving difficulties encountered on the strength of science and technology in all fields and units throughout the country.
