Morning Greeted with Devotion to Party Founding

One day in October 1945 the great leader Kim Il Sung went to the Kangson Steel Plant instead of visiting his native home at Mangyongdae which he had missed much. He was busy all day with teaching the workers the way to rehabilitate the factory. In the evening he did not relieve himself from his fatigue but wrote a historic report to be delivered at the Inaugural Party Congress.

Night was far advanced.

An official came into his room in silence and told in earnest that it was necessary for him to have a rest for a little while as it began to dawn. However, the great leader continued writing, adding that he is accustomed to it and time at daybreak is very precious for him.

When he finished the report to the Inaugural Party Congress, he stood by a window and saw the dawn break.

Receiving greetings of the officials, he fixed his eyes on the eastern sky and said meaningfully that it was time to record a new page in history of the Korean communist movement which had undergone vicissitudes and trials. However, the officials did not understand at that time that this short saying of his had profound meanings.

The great leader had not enough time to have dinner. Next morning, he took no rest but went to a hall where the Inaugural Party Congress would be held.
