President Kim Il Sung made a significant speech at the Pyongyang mass rally held on September 12, 1948 to celebrate the establishment of the DPRK Government.
In the speech Kim Il Sung said that, with the establishment of the DPRK Government, a brilliant new chapter was opened in the history of the Korean people’s struggle for the building of an independent, sovereign state. He said that, as a fledged nation with a government of their own, the Korean people would always be protected by that government and have dignity, rights and honour as citizens of the DPRK from then on.
Kim Il Sung proudly declared that the Republic had a bright future and a broad avenue to victory was open before the Korean nation.
