It was one day after the country was liberated. President Kim Il Sung met businessmen and traders who donated lots of money to the building of the country.
The businessmen and traders wished that a hall had been built with the money so that Kim Il Sung could meet people and have a talk with them.
With a big smile on his face, Kim Il Sung said that it’d be better to build a children’s palace before others. He continued that lovely children should occupy a palace in liberated Korea though it had been done by a king in the past, adding that a grand palace should be planned for the rising generation.
Later, when he came to the construction site for children’s palace located in a good place on Jangdae Hill, Kim Il Sung looked round every part of it and said that it was necessary to use the world best building materials to build it into a palace of the highest level.
Pyongyang Students and Children’s Palace was built as a palace of the children thanks to Kim Il Sung’s boundless love for the children.
