The Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea presented it as the urgent task of the sector of education to narrow to the maximum the differences of the education level between the capital and provinces, urban and rural areas.

If the provincial universities and schools in rural areas are provided with wonderful educational conditions and environment like universities and schools in the capital, it is possible to make progress in narrowing the regional differences of the education level.

It is a troublesome work to improve educational conditions and circumstances, and success can be made in the work if it is supported by assistance of the country and the society.

The DPRK regards it as an important task of policy that Party organizations in relevant regions should hold fast to consistently until it is fully implemented that they increase investment on the sector of education and build teacher-training colleges, model schools and versatile schools which are now under construction.

All officials and working people consider it as a sacred patriotic work of guaranteeing the future of the country and nation by bringing up the rising generations to talents and as an important task that they should carry out as citizens and their parents.

The DPRK’s education will further develop by narrowing to the maximum the differences of the education level between the urban and rural areas.
