Kim Il Sung visited the workers of the (then) Kangson Steel Plant in February 1959 and kindled the first torch for the Chollima Workteam Movement.
Essence of this movement is to build one’s workteam into a collective where its members work, learn and live in a revolutionary way by helping and leading one another forward and to educate and transform the backward into the progressive and the passive elements into the activists under the slogan One for All and All for One!
Under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung the Chollima Workteam Movement put revolutions of ideology, technology and culture as a main task and expanded and developed it into a grand popular forward movement which all the working people took part in and became a powerful driving force that hastened the national victory in the socialist construction and revolution.
