    Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill is associated with the immortal leadership exploits of great leaders Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese heroine who devoted themselves to provide our people with silk clothes.

    In June 2016, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the factory and was satisfied of the overproduction of quality silk thread in all processes after the modernization of the factory. He set forth the tasks for the factory to normalize the production on a high level, improve the quality of the products and to turn the factory to the labour-saving one through technical innovation movement etc.

    Under the wise leadership and warm love of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu, Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill was strengthened to elderly silk mill and reliable silk thread production base in our country.

    Keeping it as an important political issue of defending and adding brilliance to our Party’s leadership exploits to equip the overall production process with modern and efficient machines, the mill made ceaseless efforts to turn it into the biggest modern silk mill in our country.

    With the modern and high level of production equipment, they improved efficiency and quality of the products, making big profit for the state and increasing income every year to promote the workers’ life.

    They locally made the formerly imported accessory parts of the machines and developed the software of the automatic silk-spinning machine and thus made firm guarantee for drastically improving the quality of the products and normalizing production on a high level.

    They well made scientific and technological diffusion room to implement the Party’s policy to make the entire people well versed with science and technology and involved the workers in the study-while-working system to produce many doctors, assistant doctors and engineers so that they play main role in modernizing the mill.

    Along with this, they diffused science and technology among the workers so that all the production activities can be guaranteed by specialized science and technology.

    Upholding the Party’s policy to use natural energy, they use solar and wind energy according to their condition, getting its benefit. The mill has solar post lamps.

    The mill built fish-breeding ponds full of carps and goldfish, modern animal husbandry, green house producing fresh vegetables and mushroom production base to regularly supply the workers and dormitory workers with fish, meat, vegetable and mushroom.
