At the beginning of the 20^th century, a man was born who would go down in history. 110 years later, the working-class all around the world celebrates the Day of the Sun to honor the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.

While the working class of the West is plunged into darkness because of capitalist crisis that does not seem to end; workers, farmers and intellectuals of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea demonstrate their wisdom and strength to the full. That is because Comrade Kim Il Sung taught a great idea that, when the broad masses of the people including workers, peasants and intellectuals united in body and soul around the Party, then the nation will be truly free, independent and prosperous.

The 20^th century was a century of struggle of the peoples against imperialism, colonialism, of socialist countries against capitalist countries. A country that holds the banner of the struggle is the brave Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The DPRK that defends its independence from imperialism, is the guiding beacon for the people in the progressive countries around the world.

Following Comrade Kim Il Sung’s wise guidelines, the DPRK achieved unity and cohesion of the Party and the people, holding high the banner of the Juche idea that properly fused the doctrine of scientific socialism and love for the Motherland. Comrade Kim Il Sung established that the people-centered socialism in the DPRK while espousing the cause of all the peoples in the progressive countries of the world. All his lines and policies were applied with success and thus the DPRK became a truly independent country, an example for all the oppressed nations of the world.

The DPRK people, under the direction of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, demonstrated to the world that all sorts of restrictions and subjugations can be surmounted, that expelling and ending the exploiters is not only possible, but necessary.

President Kim Il Sung said.

“The American imperialists are most afraid of the fact that the people of the world are following the road of independence.”

The Great Leader wisely established that “the way of independence is in agreement with the interests of the people”. The realities in the DPRK where the Juche idea has been materialized with success, are a great evidence of the veracity of his teachings.

Workers all over the world are grateful for the wise guidance given by Comrade Kim Il Sung, who formulated the great Juche idea and led the DPRK people to independence and sovereignty. Therefore, the Day of the Sun is an international holiday, celebrated by the peoples all over the world as well as the DPRK people.
