Arab-Korea Cooperation Council carried an article “Down-with-Imperialism Union and President Kim Il Sung” on its internet homepage on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of its formation. Referring to the fact that President Kim Il Sung formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) on October 17, 1926, it said as follows.
The DIU is the first revolutionary organization formed by President Kim Il Sung who decided to devote his whole life to the sacred cause of the people’s freedom and emancipation and embarked on the road of struggle for it. Formation of the DIU is a proclamation of the death-defying struggle against the Japanese imperialists, a declaration of confrontation with all imperialism on the globe and a starting point of the struggle for the Party founding in Korea.
Human history records many great persons, but it has never known such a great person as President Kim Il Sung who formed a revolutionary organization in the early age of teens.
