In the DPRK there are modern general hospitals, special hospitals and well-arranged medical service bases in each province, city, county (district), ri (dong), factory and enterprise.

Among the hospitals there are Korea General Red Cross Hospital, Kim Man Yu Hospital, Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, Ryugyong Dental Hospital, Okryu Children’s Hospital, Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital and so on.
