COVID-19 is sweeping over the whole world and red light is on in many countries. However, the DPRK, surrounded by those which are faced with outbreak of the epidemic disease, becomes the world “anti-epidemic example” keeping record of the “zero-infected”.
The factor is that the DPRK blocked borders immediately and it has unfolded the strictest anti-epidemic network.
-The DPRK takes the strictest anti-epidemic measure
At the end of January this year, the DPRK turned the hygienic and anti-epidemic system into the state emergency anti-epidemic system and set up the emergency anti-epidemic headquarters at all levels in the capital and other provinces.
The DPRK blocked the borders before others and took the strictest anti-epidemic measures.
Garment factories in Pyongyang produced tens of thousands of masks a day with great urgency. The DPRK saw that all peoples urged to wear masks when going out and frequency of disinfection was increased at public places.
Mass media orgarns in the DPRK intensively informed the people of the different anti-epidemic knowledge every day so as to awaken the citizens to their sense of duty to wear masks outdoors and at public places.
The DPRK decided to extend the quarantine period of returnees form abroad and foreigners from 15 to 30 days. Opening of schools at all levels was prolonged and the international marathon tournament that was scheduled to be held in April was cancelled. The state efforts were enlisted to develop new anti-epidemic articles.
The Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee held at the end of February this year stressed to take nationwide top-class anti-epidemic measures in a thorough-going way and strictly, and that no special cases must be allowed within the state anti-epidemic system. The Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea held on April 11, 2020 adopted a flexible plan to consistently take strict national measures to thoroughly check the inroads of COVID-19.
Reuters of UK said that the DPRK keeps record of the “zero-infected” as ever.
The DPRK could build a “paradise with no epidemics” while keeping record of the “zero-infected” to startle the international community as it took strict and preemptive emergency anti-epidemic measures.
