The Swiss Memorial Committee for President Kim Il Sung was formed on June 1, 2024 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his demise.
The memorial committee was consisted of the members of the Swiss Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche idea.
Saying that Kim Il Sung, who regarded The people are my God as his motto and devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people all his life, is an outstanding leader and a benevolent father of the DPRK people, the committee set the days from June 5 to July 12, 2024 as the memorial period and decided to hold many memorial events during the period to praise his glorious and brilliant revolutionary life and immortal exploits.
