Meetings were held in Belarus, Thailand, Mongolia, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Uganda during the period from September 19 to 28, 2023 to form preparatory committees for the celebration of the 78^th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The meetings were participated by figures from political parties and public organizations and members of organizations of friendship and solidarity with the DPRK and the Juche idea study groups in those countries. Chairpersons, vice-chairpersons and members of the committees were elected at the meetings.

The meeting held in Switzerland issued a statement about the forming of preparatory committee.

The committees fixed celebration periods and decided to propagate broadly through mass media the immortal revolutionary exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in founding, strengthening and developing the WPK and organize colorful political and cultural events including internet seminars, celebration gatherings, congratulatory visits to the DPRK embassies and so on.

The Belarus preparatory committee decided to send a congratulatory message to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 78^th founding anniversary of the WPK in the name of political parties and organizations included in the committee.
