Memorial committees were formed in Sri Lanka, the DR Congo, Ethiopia, Mexico and Brazil in the period from December 6 to 10, 2022, on the occasion of the 11^th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s demise.

Present at the inaugural meetings were figures from political parties and public organizations and members of groups of friendship with the DPRK and Juche idea study organizations.

The meetings set memorial periods and elected chairmen and vice chairmen, secretaries-general and members of the committees.

Stressing that the Chairman held firmly the helm of history in the period when the struggle to defend socialism from imperialism was fierce, and led wisely the struggle for socialism with his scientific insight and exceptional wisdom, speakers praised highly at the meetings that the Chairman’s life was the most revolutionary and popular one.

The memorial committees decided to meaningfully hold such diverse political and cultural events as film show, photo exhibition and seminar to widely introduce and propagate the brilliant revolutionary life of the Chairman and immortal exploits he performed in developing the Korean and the world revolution and the fresh successes being achieved by the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK people in the efforts to implement decisions of the Eighth Congress of the WPK under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
