Over 11 Million People Visited Oun Revolutionary Site for More Than 40 Years

    The Oun Revolutionary Site is in Ryongsong District, Pyongyang City, the DPRK. It is a significant place where Kim Jong Il took part in the military camping drills during the days when he conducted revolutionary activities at Kim Il Sung University and acquired excellent traits and qualities befitting a brilliant commander.

    During the camping days in 1962 Kim Jong Il made active efforts to be well versed in President Kim Il Sung’s Juche-oriented military idea and theory and train all the campers into revolutionary fighters, boundlessly loyal to the President and possessed of skilled combat commanding ability.

    In order to convey forever the immortal achievements made by Kim Jong Il in the days of his military camping, the Korean people built Pamnamu-gol in Oun-dong into a revolutionary site, erected a monument to the revolutionary exploits of Kim Jong Il at the entrance of the revolutionary site and built the Oun Revolutionary Museum to inaugurate.

    According to the data, for the past over 40 years since its inauguration the Oun Revolutionary Site was visited by more than 11 million including people from all walks of life, KPA soldiers, youth and students.
