Preparatory committees for celebrating the 79^th founding anniversary of the WPK were formed in Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Thailand, Russia, Belarus, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Romania and Serbia during the period from September 18 to 25, 2024.

Chairpersons, co-chairpersons and members were selected with due ceremonies for forming the committees.

The committees set the celebration periods on the occasion of the 79^th founding anniversary of the WPK and decided to hold colourful political and cultural events including the seminars, celebration gatherings, film shows, picture and book exhibitions so as to introduce and propagate the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who performed for founding the WPK and its strengthening and development.

The committees formed in Russia and Belarus decided to send the congratulatory messages to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 79^th founding anniversary of the WPK.
