On the occasion of President Kim Il Sung’s birth anniversary in 2023, the title of Labour Hero was awarded to three women who bore many children and bring them up into fine ones.

They are Jong Yong Ran from North Hwanghae Province, Song Un Hui and O Sun Ok from South Phyongan Province.

The medals of Labour Hero awarded to them are not a mere commendation given to them for having born many children. They are a valuable appraisal of sincere efforts they made in order not only to bring up their children into pillars who would shoulder future of the country but to make themselves become foundation of the country.
