Question Unresolved

It was when a foreign delegation visited a flat of Changjon Street built in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK. That day, members of the delegation asked many questions to its owner.

Delegation: How much does your flat cost?

Owner: I have no idea about it. The state gave it to me free of charge.

Delegation: What makes you have such a good flat free? You probably have a person in power or a privileged one among your family or relatives?

Owner: No, I don’t have any of them. Most of them who moved into new flats of this street are ordinary workers and office workers.

The delegation members failed to clear up their doubt about the owner who lives in a good flat but does not know its price. They went back, with their question unresolved. Those in their country who listened to them said that they were also doubtful about it by saying that the DPRK is unusual, indeed.

They did not resolve their question. It will probably be the first time for them to see a country build flats for the people and provide them with the flats free of charge.
