In October of one year a woman from the then Sudong District, South Hamgyong Province gave birth to a baby at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. This was an ordinary thing in the maternity hospital but happiness of its medical workers was extraordinary. It was because the woman was a disabled person and her husband was a wounded ex-serviceman.
Two years ago she was in the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital due to a sudden illness. Thanks to the medical workers’ kind and sincere treatment, her illness grew better with passage of time. The better she got, the more anxiously she desired to be a mother like other women.
Tireless efforts of the medical workers gave her a chance to be a mother and she realized her cherished desire. They were happy to see the baby who would be a member of the big family of socialism.
