True to the decisions made at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and working people in the sector of electric power industry consolidate material and technical bases to increase electricity generation in a stable and sustained way.
Officials of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry intensify the policy-oriented and technical guidance over relevant units on the spot while taking timely measures to solve problems in the practice to promote the stable generation of electricity and the readjustment and reinforcement for its production.
Based on the scientific calculation of the supply of raw and other materials like coal and the situation of securing water, the ministry works out detailed plans to control production by relying on hydro- and thermal-power generation in an active and rational way and readjust, repair and reinforce electric power facilities, structures and transmission and transforming facilities in a qualitative way.
The power transmission and transforming sector pays attention to readjusting and reinforcing substations and transmission and supply lines and to protecting them from disastrous abnormal climate.
