Public health sector makes active efforts to steadily increase variety and production of medicines upholding the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Ministry of Public Health discussed and confirmed concrete ways of increasing variety and production of reserve medicines, basic medicines, first-aid medicines and principal preventives. It gives absolute precedence to the supply of raw and other materials needed for their production, in a planned way, while strengthening scientific and technical forces.

It directs main efforts to renovation and modernization of the Hungnam Pharmaceutical Factory. It plans and makes active efforts to activate production of the Sunchon Pharmaceutical Factory and many others and realize their modernization.
