Accession ceremony to the Korean Children’s Union is held in the DPRK every year on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star, the greatest national holidays.

At the ceremony school children receive political life for the first time in their life from the children’s organization of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

They make oath at the ceremony with red ties in their hands. It is the one made first in the lives of the school children who realized the source of their happiness.

The DPRK has more than 3 million Children’s Union members who are true to their oath to follow only the Workers’ Party of Korea in any adversities.
