Adding Honor and Pride to Valuable Life

In socialist Korea, war veterans are leading a life with honor and pride of being veterans of the Fatherland Liberation War.
Story of a veteran resident in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang proves it.
Over ten years ago, the veteran went to Pyongyang Medical College Hospital for medical examination.
When they knew that the veteran had been awarded the title of the Hero of the Republic by performing feats in battles of the Fatherland Liberation War, medical workers of the chair of otolaryngology and cervical surgery examined his health in detail.
Since then they frequently called at the veteran’s house not only on holidays and red-letter days but on normal days.
They had several consultative meetings on the veteran’s health and life every year.
Head, doctors and nurses devoted their efforts to do things better for the veteran. The patient’s family made cooperation with them.
When the weather got cold, they prepared underwear for him and took sincere care of his health lest he should feel sick.
The veteran told them … I am confident that the life devoted for the Party and the leader, the country and the people becomes more brilliant by the younger generation who inherit spirit of the preceding generation.
