Ryomyong Street Ushers in Dawn of Victory of Socialism
Racing against the time and making feats and miracles at a miraculous speed at which the morning and the evening differ and yesterday and today differ, the DPRK built grand and brilliant Ryomyong Street in the area of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche informing the dawn of victory in socialism.
The inaugural ceremony took place on April 13, 2017 in celebration of the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un named it “Ryomyong Street” meaning that dawn of the Korean revolution breaks from the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state and from Ryongnam Hill where leader Kim Jong Il made historic oath that he would add glory to Korea.
With the completion of Ryomyong Street which shows the future of the Juche-oriented art of architecture and the height of socialist civilization, the area near the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and Ryongnam Hill was changed wonderfully so that the area can symbolize the future of the great Paektusan nation and mysterious world of wonders created providing the educationists, scientists and people with all benefits.
Ryomyong Street which is in perfect harmony with cosy many-storeyed buildings built in the direction of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the principle of courtesy and grand and brilliant skyscrapers built on the Ryonghung Crossroads in the direction of the monument to immortality of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on the principle of symbolization is a model and a standard of the Juche-oriented architecture, modern architecture that improved a new sphere of utility and formative art in architecture.
All apartment houses and public facilities were built on the principle of prioritizing convenience and aesthetic beauty. Electricity-saving technology that enables to effectively utilize solar, geotherm and other natural energy, roof and wall greening technology and other up-to-date architectural technologies were introduced, thus demonstrating the feature of being a energy-saving, green street.
