At present in the international arena the view that human rights are above national rights is bandied about by the US and some West countries, and interference into internal affairs risked under the pretext of “advocacy of human rights” is justified.
The matter of human rights and national rights is not merely practical matter in theory. It is a serious political and legal matter related to the destiny of a sovereign state. It is one of very important theoretical and practical matters in frustrating the moves of “advocacy of human rights” of dominationist forces, defending the independence of the country and nation and correctly solving the matter of human rights.
Chairman Kim Jong Il said.
“Human rights cannot be conceived separately from the independence of countries and nations. Human rights can never be ensured for people who are dominated by foreign forces.”
Human rights are immediately national rights. The people ac
In case a country is deprived of its national independence, discussing about the human rights of the people in the country is mere a paper argument.
In the past the Korean people suffered the bitter fate worse than a dog of the dead as they were deprived of the country by the Japanese imperialists. The Japanese imperialists who occupied Korea by force mercilessly infringed upon all the rights of the Korean people with the brigandish logic “The Koreans should obey the Japanese law, or they should die.”
During the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists in Korea a number of people were killed, more than 8.4 million taken to police stations by force and kidnapped and 200 thousand forced to serve as comfort women for the Japanese imperial army, but they could not make any complaints about it.
Loss of independence leads to loss of human rights. It is now clearly proved by the fact that human rights is infringed upon by dominationist forces in Iraq and some other countries of the world.
In history, past and present, genuine human rights of people have never been ensured without national independence.
The world has countries, big or small, developed or developing, but it has no particular country with rights to infringe upon independence of others. Each country is equally independent, and the independence is an absolute right for every country that should never be deprived of.
If one country infringes upon independence of other countries and interferes into their internal affairs, this is a merciless violation of their independence and infringement upon the human rights of their people, and this will cause grave disturbance of the world peace and security.
Political system of each country, establis
Human rights are the matter of internal affairs. Human rights are provided only when national independence is ensured. Human rights can by no means be an object of interference into internal affairs or a tool to justify it.
“Report on human rights” which the US State Department issues every year is a document in which it viciously challenges other countries politically slandering and defiling them with “criterion of human rights” based on the American-style view of value. It is also a prelude to aggression upon other countries and interference into their internal affairs.
That’s why it is important to keep high vigilance against interference into internal affairs of other countries or international organizations which is made under the cloak of “advocacy of human rights” and not to tolerate it.
In recent years the US and its following forces are making human rights rackets against the DPRK. Their rackets are, in essence, to disintegrate the people-centred Korean style socialist system under the signboard of “advocacy of human rights.”
However hard they mudsling the DPRK, they cannot overthrow the Korean socialist system where the human rights are genuinely guaranteed.
The DPRK considers that human rights are precisely national rights. She will frustrate the human rights rackets of the US and its following forces against her, resolutely defend the independence of the country and nation and further consolidate and develop the socialist system that provides and guarantees the genuine human rights for the people.
