    What does the Workers’ Party of Korea firmly believe in to make an all-out frontal offensive to achieve breakthrough the formidable barriers to the advance of the DPRK?

    It is the working class, which Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un dignifies with the name of the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, and their indomitable mental strength.

    “The heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, as befits the core unit of the Juche revolution and the nation’s ‘eldest son’, should stand in the vanguard in supporting the Party’s ideas and cause and advance, holding high the torch of a new great revolution upsurge in building an economic giant.”

    The DPRK’s history of victory in socialist construction records the heroic struggle and merits of its working class.

    The working class discharged its historic mission and duty in each period and stage of the Korean revolution including the building of a new country, the postwar rehabilitation and the socialist construction. As a result, the DRPK could make steady improvement in the socialist construction.

    Hence, the WPK appealed the working class, which has displayed its heroic mettle in the van in each period of turning point in the Korean revolution, to fully display its mettle once again also in today’ s all-out frontal offensive to achieve breakthrough.

    True to the great confidence of the WPK, the working class in the DPRK fully displays ardent patriotism and indomitable fighting spirit to make an all-out frontal offensive to achieve breakthrough.

    The working class in the sector of electric-power, coal-mine and metallurgical industries and the railway transport strives hard to increase output and transport. The working class in all sectors of industry including machine-building, chemistry and building-materials wages dynamic campaign to put the production facilities on a modern basis, upholding the self-development-first principle, and makes active efforts to secure the domestic production of facilities, raw and materials needed in the economic development. The working class in the sectors of light industry, fishery and construction makes dynamic efforts to increase the number of excellent products and commodities of the world competitiveness, makes history of “gold sea” and continues to usher in a great heyday of construction.

    Thanks to dynamic struggle of the DPRK working class, fully armed itself with the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance, advance of the socialist Korea for the building of a powerful socialist country is accelerated.
