    The Grand People’s Study House built in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, thanks to the deep concern of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, serves as an important social educational base and a correspondence university of the country.

    Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who gives prominence to the development of science and technology as a crucial matter on which depends the victory in the building of a powerful socialist country and an important undertaking related to the future of the country, has sent a large number of books and data amounting up to over 23 000 pieces of about 4 600 kinds on 97 occasions since 2012.

    The book and data associated with the Supreme Leader’s love for the people cover the wide area including economy and culture.

    Among them, the books related to the up-to-date science and technology assume a large proportion and the books related to medicine conducive to the improvement of the working people’s health, and those related to architecture and sports are included.

    They also include the books like “Diverse Bean Curd Dishes” and “Family Dishes” providing art and common sense in cooking and the books offering edible mushroom growing technique and other comprehensive knowledge in other fields including horticulture and animal breeding.

    Along with the literatures of science and technology in foreign language and social science books, there are CDs recording the music including the Korean and the world famous songs enriching the working people’s cultural and emotional life.

    A large number of books and data providing techniques and common sense in different fields make positive contribution to the endeavors of the people in the DPRK to build a powerful socialist country.

    Thanks to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the Grand People’s Study House associated with the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il serves as a great temple of learning for all the people, a great literature base of the country and the world scientific and technological data base.
