The folklore street in Sariwon city North Hwang
The folklore street situated at the foot of the beautiful Mt. Kyongam, Sariwon city consists of central district, pleasure ground district and dwelling house district.
In the street, we can first see the buildings with the Korean-style roof tiles.
Roof tiles and forms of roofs of Kyongamsan Hotel and the Korean-style buildings in the street are diversified in conformity with the characteristics of their historical period.
Restaurants for glutinous rice cake, pan-cake, maggoli (Korean traditional drink) and other national food are well arranged in the folklore street. Among them the maggoli service centre is a place where the Sariwon citizens and foreign guests like to visit because of its good taste.
The folklore street has indoor and outdoor amusement halls in which the citizens can play irrespective of season such games as yutt, chess and paduk.

“Songun Pavilion” was built on the steep edge rock of Mt. Kyongam, so that the people can enjoy the panoramic view of the folklore street. The pavilion is a beautiful scenery and pride of Mt. Kyongam.
Many people visit here every day to look round the historical relics, taste national food. Youth and students and children enjoy folklore amusement such as playing shuttlecock with the foot, kite-flying and Yutt game, which is new scenery at the foot of Mt. Kyongam, Sariwon city today.
