True picture of the Workers’ Party of Korea, which adheres firmly to the noble idea and original features it had in the first period of its foundation, is manifested in the fact that it proves validity and vitality of the independent line in practice.

With independence as the life and soul of the Korean revolution and as a cornerstone for the state building, the WPK has solved all problems in the revolution and construction from the Juche-oriented stand and on the principle of national independence since the early period of its foundation.

The WPK has vigorously advanced the revolution and construction in the Korean way and with the strength of its people while resolutely rejecting high-handedness, pressure and machinations of outside forces to threat independence, the rights to existence and development and injure the dignity of the Republic. It is a noble fruition of the energetic leadership of the WPK which consistently adheres to the line of independence that the pivot and lifeline of the independent national economy is maintained and the events of weighty significance are brought about in succession in the DPRK in building up the most powerful defence capabilities of the state.

The WPK vigorously leads the popular masses’ cause of independence by adhering invariably to the idea it has kept since the early days of its foundation, without any mistakes, vicissitudes or deviations. Through its efforts the DPRK people are confident of the future when they will lead the happiest life in a more prosperous powerful country.
