Upholding the fighting programme set forth by the 4^th Plenary Meeting of the 8^th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and workers in the sector of metallurgical industry, the most important industry of the country, put spurs to iron and steel production in fierce flames of joint innovation with the remarkable zeal to vigorously promote development of the independent economy in the van of this year’s advance.

Workers of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex have begun production with determination to carry through the task of producing iron and steel in line with the plan by developing more technically the Juche iron-producing method and providing enough fuel and raw materials.

Workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex also perfect the Juche-oriented production process scientifically and technologically and raise the flames of collective competition from the start.

Workers at the blast furnace shop combined and fed raw materials and fuels and operated the furnace as required by technical regulations, thus further lessening melting hours.

The Chollima Steel Complex also increases steel production to uphold the Party.

Smelters at the steel shop make full preparations for tapping while feeding raw materials with responsibility and taking prior measures of guaranteeing continuity between processes. Workers in the Posan Iron Works promoted the rate of daily plan fulfillment by increasing the use of their rotary kiln while taking good care of equipment and managing technology scrupulously.
