I Don’t Worry about Getting Old

The DPRK takes responsible care of health and life of the aged people. Sanatoria for war veterans and the old people’s homes have been built in all parts of the country. It is one of everyday life to do good thing for the aged and take good care of them.
The “DPRK Socialist Constitution” and the “DPRK Law on Public Health,” adopted scores of years ago, stipulate that it is necessary to take responsible care for the aged patients so that they can enjoy free medical benefits. The “DPRK Law on Protection of the Elderly” adopted on April 26, 2007 regulates that the State provides the aged people with all conditions so that they can hold a position and play a role as the revolutionary forerunners, the seniors of the society and families.
It has been scores of years since the popular policies of the State, which takes responsible care for the aged, were enforced and the climate, that all members of the society respect and accord preferential treatment to the aged, was established.
Thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who considers it as sense of moral obligation of revolutionaries to respect the revolutionary forerunners and shows an example, the aged people are protected better under the nation-wide and public interest.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said in his speech made at the 6th National Conference of War Veterans on July 27, 2020 that the climate of respecting, holding up and according preferential treatment to war veterans and revolutionary forerunners in society should be an unshakable national trait.
War veterans participated in the conference had a good time at the wonderfully-built Yangdok Hot Spring Resort.
Looking at the aged people who are in youthful spirit though their hairs turned grey, everyone says.
“We will be aged like them some day, but the Law on Protection of the Elderly will protect us.”
