Story of National Emblem

President Kim Il Sung was in deep meditation looking at a design of national emblem at one night of spring in 1948.
The anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk asked the President to go to bed several times, telling him that it was too late.
Saying he couldn’t sleep well as the design of national emblem was not completed yet, the President kept his eyes on the design.
Kim Jong Suk who was looking at the design with a blast furnace told the President that it would reflect electrification if a power station was drawn on the national emblem.
Agreeing with her and saying with satisfaction that it would be better to draw the Suphung Power Station, he drew a model hydroelectric power station and a model of pylon on the design with a pencil.
Later the design of national emblem was unanimously approved by all the judges and the masses of the people.
It was anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk who paid deep attention to the institution of the national emblem and encouraged it so that the institution was realized as intended by the President.
