In a programmatic conclusion On Forcefully Promoting the Implementation of the Party’s “Regional Development 20×10 Policy” made at the 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the Party’s intention of making an important decision to carry on the building of regional industry factories and the rural housing construction simultaneously.
Kim Jong Un noted that, given that the rural housing construction, an unprecedentedly vast and ambitious front in finally breaking with the backwardness of the countryside, was being undertaken on a nationwide scale, it was not easy to make bold decision to form another large front of opening up a new phase of regional industrial development across the country and to simultaneously follow through these two revolutionary stages. He continued that the desire of the regional people is the desire of the WPK, the development of regional industry is the development of the regions, and the development of the region is the overall prosperity and growth of the state and thus the WPK made an important decision to wage a new struggle without hesitation.
