The DPRK has deep roots and pure tradition of loyalty.

History proves that its tradition of loyalty was established in the early years of the present century and has been continued without any slight flaws for a long period until today when we are nearing the next century.

The Korean-style loyalty has become faith and will, thought and feeling, conscience and custom of its people and service personnel in the process of inheriting and developing it continuously for nearly a century.

According to the DPRK people, their loyalty to the leader creates a noble and beautiful world as it becomes their faith, conscience, morality and everyday life.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who perfectly embodies President Kim Il Sung’s ideas and leadership traits, also carries forward Kim Il Sung’s view of loyalty to the people.

Kim Jong Il put forward many slogans including We serve the people! It reflects the idea of believing in the people as in Heaven, the lifetime motto of Kim Il Sung.

In his recently published work Socialism Is a Science, Kim Jong Il said that a political leader who unfailingly loves the people must come forward in order to realize genuinely benevolent politics in socialist society. He put forward a famous proposition that an incompetent political leader of socialism may bring about a delay in the development of socialist society, but one who has no virtue may betray the people and even lead socialism to ruin.

His slogan and proposition reflect his will to believe in people as in Heaven and dedicate his all to them.

The DPRK people’s loyalty to their leader is inherited and developed through generations as it is not a simple legal, moral or obligatory relationship but blood ties established with sincerity.

Seeing the loyalty ever more consolidated with passage of time, I keenly felt once again that the strength of tradition which is being inherited with purity is big, indeed.

Thanks to the loyalty that was created by the legendary brilliant commander Kim Il Sung and inherited and developed with purity by the prominent political leader Kim Jong Il, the leader’s authority and exploits are not faded but immortal and moving the world despite ordeals of history and adversities of the times.
