Everyone in the DPRK is fully provided with right to medicine so that they can live happily free from any worries about medical treatment. Free medical care system, it is a popular policy enforced under the care of President Kim Il Sung who regarded the working masses of the people as the most precious beings in the world, during the period when the DPRK went through harsh trials due to the war ignited by the US imperialists.

A Cabinet decision No. 203 was proclaimed on November 13, 1952 in the DPRK to enforce the system of free medical care for the people.

As soon as the decision was proclaimed, the world press praised by saying that the US devastates the DPRK with ceaseless bombing but the DPRK defeats the US with a big bomb ‘No. 203’ as powerful as 10 atomic bombs!.
