The 9^th Plenary Meeting of the 8^th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea clarified what the year 2024 is.

2024 is a year of confirming the victory in attaining the fighting goal set by the 8^th Party Congress by heightening the offensive spirit on all fronts of the socialist construction. In other words, by the end of 2024, every sector and unit should secure an obvious practical guarantee for the fulfillment of the five-year plan.

2024 is the 4^th year in fulfilling the 5-year plan advanced by the historic 8^th Party Congress. When the entire people display strong will and courageous practical ability, they can consolidate the successes achieved for 3 years in implementing the programmatic tasks set forth by the 8^th Party Congress and provide a definite guarantee for the fulfillment of the 5-year plan.
