On January 11, 1948 President Kim Il Sung visited the Security Officers Training Centre located in the northern end of Korea. Kim Il Sung saw that servicemen knew correctly who their principal enemy were and that they cherished noble mission of defending the country.
Then Kim Il Sung went to a divisional hospital in the area of a branch command post. He entered a ward and acquainted himself in detail with meals and medical treatment of patients. Reading their mind of returning to their posts as early as possible, Kim Il Sung told them that they were the trainees of the centre in those days but they would be developed into the Korean People’s Army in the future. He stressed that fence of one’s house should be built strong so that no burglar could break into it, adding that they should be healthy and strong to defend the country firmly.
