On October 8, 2009 when he had a talk with officials, Chairman Kim Jong Il said with deep recollection that it seemed only yesterday that he started working in the Party Central Committee, but it was close upon half a century.
Kim Jong Il said that he could render big services before the times and revolution, the country and people by leading the Workers’ Party of Korea as his comrades supported and helped him with sincerity.
Noting that the single-hearted unity is the mainstay of the Korean revolution and the most powerful driving force that firmly guarantees victory in the cause of building a powerful country, Kim Jong Il said that the DPRK people’s single-hearted unity is more powerful than a nuclear weapon and there is no fortress unconquerable when they struggle on the strength of the single-hearted unity.
