The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said, in his historic letter to those who participated in the 5th Conference of Torchbearers in the Three Revolutions, that the spirit that runs through the line of the three revolutions is the comprehensive spirit of independence of implementing the revolution in one’s country by one’s own efforts and the key is to strengthen one’s own revolutionary forces in every possible way.
Kim Jong Un said that, in the historical course of building socialism and communism, the tasks and both the subjective and the objective conditions at each stage of the revolution are changing constantly, but the revolutionary strategy, the core of which is one’s own forces, cannot change.
The three revolutions–ideological, technological and cultural–is a fundamental means of strengthening one’s own forces.
In carrying out the socialist cause, the DPRK people are having to follow an untrodden path and brave unpredictable challenges and difficulties; in the course of this, they must cultivate their own efforts, which they can firmly believe in and rely on at all times. Herein lie the great significance and undying viability of the three revolutions.
The great transformation achieved by Juche Korea in fundamentally remoulding humans, nature and society in such a short historical period has, from start to finish, been achieved by dint of the three revolutions; and all the miracles wrought by the DPRK that have struck the world’s people with wonder are a victory of the line of these revolutions.
In the vigorous flames of the three revolutions started in the first days of building a new country, the DPRK people have grown into a heroic people who carve out their destiny by their own efforts and the DPRK has built a socialist country-- independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence--from scratch and is now demonstrating its might of an invincible fortress that remains unperturbed even by the worldwide political turmoil and unprecedented challenges.
