Early in December 1945 President Kim Il Sung met a woman who came to Pyongyang from abroad.

Receiving the woman with kindness, Kim Il Sung told her that she should have had a very hard time and suggested her working together with him.

Kim Il Sung tenderly asked the woman whether she wanted to work as a presswoman of Jongno, the organ of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The woman could not reply for a while. As a matter of fact, she had thought a lot what to do in the liberated country.

She did not expect even in her dream that Kim Il Sung would ask her to be a presswoman of the dignified Party organ whose job is to deal with politics and make press activities among the people of the country and the whole world.

Tenderly looking at the woman who hesitates in surprise, Kim Il Sung told her to do a brilliant job as it was important to strengthen the Party organ. As a result, she became the first presswoman of the Party organ.
