It was one summer day. The night was far advanced, but the light in President Kim Il Sung’s office was still on. An official who was waiting for the light off entered the President’s office and told him, “President, the night is far advanced.”

The President turned his eyes from a document he was reading to the official and told him that a meeting would be held the following day and oil and confectionary production would be discussed at the meeting, adding that it is his lifelong wish to provide his people and children with enough confectionary and oil.

Having sat up that night, the President convened a consultative meeting of officials in the foodstuff industry the following day and gave precious teachings for the increased production of confectionary and oil to supply to the people.
