A meeting of founding the Korean Children’s Union was held with splendor in Pyongyang on June 6, 1946.

President Kim Il Sung attended the meeting and requested the children to become future pillars of the new Korea who would build a prosperous country.

Kim Il Sung wished them to grow up healthy and strong and study hard to become heroes in building the new democratic Korea as they were valuable treasure and masters of the new Korea.

Blessed by Kim Il Sung, the Korean Children’s Union, the children’s political organization, was founded in the following year of national liberation.
